Clinical Development Partnerships (CDP) aims to provide a simple route to develop deprioritised anti-cancer agents at no cost to the company with the potential for sharing returns if the drug is successful.

A key advantage of working with CDP is that the company retains the rights to the existing intellectual property throughout the clinical trial, and has the opportunity to review the clinical data upon completion of the study before choosing whether to exercise its option. If the trial is successful then the company has the ability to take the programme forward with ease. We believe this arrangement may be more attractive to companies than alternative out-licensing models based on 'opt-in' or 'buy-back' rights.

CDP has processes in place to review potential agents swiftly and execute legal agreements with ease. We are happy to work with you to pull together the information we would need to fully evaluate the opportunity, and have a scientific advisory board in place to assist with the review process. All discussions would be conducted under confidentiality and any information from the review process shared with the company as appropriate.

CDP operates as a dedicated team within the largest independent cancer research organisation in the world. It has a unique blend of clinical and commercial expertise building on the strengths of Cancer Research UK's Drug Development Office and its development and commercialisation company Cancer Research Technology. Both organisations have been established since 1982 and have a strong track record in clinical development and licensing respectively.

Working together we can bring more agents into clinical development and help generate more successful new treatments for cancer patients. We require just a short period of your time to consult with your Heads of Oncology to determine whether there are any agents that may be suitable.
